Are you brave enough to investigate one of Maryland’s most active paranormal hotspots in the dead of night? Join The Baltimore Paranormal Society for a hands-on, public paranormal investigation at the Heritage Society of Essex and Middle River Museum.
Housed in a historic 1920s police and fire station that once served as the local courthouse, this building holds decades of deeply embedded history—and a legendary reputation in ghost hunting circles. Led by seasoned BPS investigators, you won’t just watch the action; you will become the investigator.
What to Expect:
- Real Equipment & Techniques: Learn to use professional ghost-hunting gear, including K2 electromagentic meters, digital audio recorders, and specialized spirit boxes.
- The Haunted Jail Cells: Step inside the original, cold jail cells where visitors have captured mysterious orbs and attempted to communicate with “Bob,” the museum’s resident jail cell spirit.
- Upstairs Firemen’s Quarters: Explore the upper levels where the heavy footsteps of phantom firemen’s boots have been reported echoing in the dark.
- The Artifact Anomalies: Investigate rooms housing historic oddities, including a 19th-century driftwood sculpture known to emit unexplained sounds, and a toy shop where items move completely on their own.
Space for this exclusive lock-in event is strictly limited to ensure an optimal, quiet environment for capturing audio and data evidence. All ticket proceeds directly benefit the Heritage Society of Essex and Middle River to help preserve local community history and maintain museum exhibits.
